aquarium

the new england aquarium's multi-million dollar shark and ray touch tank is filled with swarms of screaming children on field trips. not actually in the tank, just around it.

adam and penguins.

mel and fish.

proof that adam likes the aquarium. i was a hero and rescued a sea horse that had its tail caught under a rock.

ugly motherfuckers.

i took way too many pictures of this turtle.

sam adams

free beer = winning!

sam, sam and mel.

where the good stuff is made. the tour was really great - they fed me three different types of barley, and served three types of beer, all for free! free makes everything taste better. but the best things in life are the most expensive.

penguin pizza

we wandered around for a bit...

and then it was time for dinner! i had a hawaiian pizza and a dale's pale ale and adam had spaghetti with a stone ipa. i really liked this place and they had an awesome beer selection. too bad it's so fucking unpleasant outside.

picco

two thumbs up for picco!

things started off a little cranky as i explained to adam that he was ruining my eating schedule by having a giant pizza at 3:30.

but he pretty rapidly cheered up.

i had the spring vegetable soup with peas, carrots, asparagus, cauliflower, onion, bell peppers and mint. everything was cooked perfectly and it was totally refreshing and delicious. we will definitely return to check out their beer menu.

and for dessert: honey ice cream. yumyum

mapparium

we started off today at the mapparium, which is part of the mary baker eddy library, and right by our apartment. the mapparium is a giant globe that symbolizes how mary baker eddy wanted to take over the world.

here's adam at the creepy peace area, which is under heavy surveillance by huge cameras that look like guns.

maps are less than totally boring!!!
